Variegated Century Plant
Agave Americana Marginata is an outdoor succulent plant native to South America and belonging to the Agavaceae family. It is an evergreen plant that can grow up to 2 meters in height and width, with an upright habit and leaves arranged in a rosette, elongated, rigid, fleshy, dark green with pointed tips and variegated golden and spiny edges. It blooms in spring and summer when a stem emerges from the center of the rosette, producing funnel-shaped yellow/green flowers clustered in panicles. Although easy to grow, this Agave does not tolerate low temperatures and is suitable for mild and coastal climates, ideal as an ornamental plant for gardens and flower beds either in groups or as a single specimen, even in containers; it requires exposure to sunny locations but can also tolerate partial shade. It is recommended to use well-draining soil suitable for cacti with occasional watering since the plant can tolerate short periods of drought.
