Rose of Sharon
The plant is hardy and cold-resistant, with deciduous leaves and a rich summer bloom of white, pink, purple, and lilac flowers. It is commonly cultivated as small trees and used for ornamental purposes in gardens and potted on terraces, either as isolated small trees or for creating flowering hedges. The shrub has a rustic and highly branched habit, featuring oval-shaped, dark green leaves with toothed or three-lobed margins, reaching heights of up to 3 meters. From July to October, it produces flowers approximately 7–8 cm wide, varying from white to purple. Although each flower lasts only a day, they are continuously replaced. Bees are attracted to the plant for both nectar and pollen.
