Dusty Miller

These plants are shrubs with a maximum height of 3 - 10 dm. The biological form is chamaephyte suffrutescent (Ch suffr), they are perennial and woody at the base, with overwintering buds located at a height of 2 to 30 cm above the ground (the herbaceous parts dry out annually and only the woody parts remain alive). They are covered with dense hairs measuring 0.5 to 1 mm in length. These plants contain chemical substances such as sesquiterpene lactones and pyrrolizidine alkaloids
