Common Yew

Taxus baccata, commonly known as the English yew or European yew, is a coniferous tree native to Europe, northwest Africa, and southwest Asia. It is a long-lived and slow-growing tree that can reach heights of 10-20 meters, with some specimens growing even taller. The foliage is dark green, with flat, needle-like leaves arranged spirally on the stems. The tree produces small, red, berry-like cones that are toxic if ingested. Taxus baccata is often used in landscaping for hedges and topiary due to its dense, evergreen foliage and ability to be pruned into various shapes.
