The Balcone d'Italia (Italian balcony) is a natural terrace at 1320 metres above sea level, literally set among the rocks, offering a unique view of Lake Lugano cut in two by the Melide bridge.

It is located on the summit of Monte Sighignola in Alta Valle Intelvi, about 20 minutes' drive from Parco San Marco.

This vantage point is easily reached by car but is also a popular cycling route: the effort of the climb will be well rewarded by the spectacular panoramic view!
