What times are check-in and check-out?

The suites are available from 16.00 and the check-out time is no later than 10:30 on the morning of departure.

Which are the nearest airports/train station? 

The nearest airport is Milano Malpensa (Italy) which is about 93 km from the resort. The closest train station is in Lugano (Switzerland, which is approximately about 15 Km away).

Where is the nearest bus stop?

The bus stop is situated at the main entrance to the resort.

Where can I park my car? Is there a fee for parking?

There are covered and un-covered parking spaces located within the resort. Book your stay directly to enjoy a 50% discount!

Where can I charge my electric car?

Four exclusive charging stations are available for guests of the Resort, at which you can recharge your car.

Where can I leave my luggage at the arrival?

You can leave it in the car. After the check in we will help you to carry it in your room.

What languages are spoken at reception?

At reception you will find a polite and helpful, multi-lingual staff who speak Italian, German, English, French and Spanish. 

Do you arrange transfers?

Absolutely! Here are some examples of transfers on request:
Lugano railway station - to Hotel only or return (20 minutes each way)
Malpensa/Linate Airport Milan - to Hotel only or return (on request - 90/120 minutes each way)

The taxi service is guaranteed if booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Are pets allowed?

Up to two dogs per suite are welcome for an additional charge per night (without food).
Please note that dogs are not permitted in all suite categories.

Can pets have access to the beach and restaurants?

Dogs can access the beach in an area dedicated to them or they can go to the public beach which is 100m away. Dogs are welcome at the restaurant La Masseria Mediterranean Grill. Only small purse dogs are allowed in the indoor areas, but medium sized dogs are also welcome on the outdoor terrace.

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast buffet is available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

What are the specifications of the Suite?

In your suite you will find the following: bath robe, flip-flops and pool towels. Children’s bath robes are also available. Children’s slippers are not provided.

Is there an extra cost for the use of the sofa bed? Are child beds / cots available?

The use of the sofa bed or the child bed/cot carries a supplement according to the age of the child. Please contact our reservation team for more information: info@san-marco-hotels.com.

Are the prices shown per person or per room?

Prices are per room (double occupancy). The following services are included in the rates:
- Free access to the sport and leisure facilities
- Free access to the Family SPA San Marco
- Free access to the Club Bim Bam Bino for children from 2 to 12 years old
- High quality cotton towels
- Anti-allergy pillows upon request
- Exclusive toiletries, hair dryer

Which credit cards are accepted?

Our reception accepts the following credit / debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Amex. If you need to make a pre-payment for your reservation, please note that only Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

How many restaurants are there inside the resort? 

The resort has seven restaurants with seasonal opening periods:
- Ristorante San Marco: dedicated to families with kids/toddlers aged under 1.99 years old. Here they can have their breakfast and dinner in complete serenity.
- Ristorante La Veranda: for families with children from 2 years old. Here breakfast and dinner is served in a bright and colorful setting.
- Ristorante La Joie de Vivre: dining and breakfast in a modern and elegant setting. 
- La Musa Restaurant & Rooftop Terrace: Fine Dining restaurant  with an incomparable view of Lake Lugano, for adults and children from 16 years old.
- La Masseria - Mediterranean Grill: the perfect place to dine with the whole family, a spectacular view of Lake Lugano awaits you! (Open from April to October).
- 46° Parallelo: Beach Lounge - Pop Up Restaurant - Prosecco Bar: on our private beach directly on Lake Lugano! (Seasonal opening and subject to weather conditions).
- Il Basilico - La Pizzeria: Pizzas for all tastes await you!

Is it necessary to book a table in advance?

We suggest that you book a table in advance at least for the day of your arrival. To benefit from our “half board” offer, available in Ristorante Veranda & San Marco, you need to book a table before 13:00 the same day. Alternatively, you can dine “à la carte” with an advanced reservation.

What is the dress code?

In our restaurants, the required dress code is 'Smart Casual.' However, in the 'La Musa' restaurant, an elegant dress code is required with long  trousers and closed shoes.

Are vegan / vegetarian and food allergy / intolerance menus available?

Our Executive Chef and his team will be happy to accommodate all your needs. Please communicate your requests when you reserve or to our reception staff during your check-in.

You make baby food?

Yes! On request. 

What are the Family SPA San Marco opening hours?

The pool area is open from 07:30 to 20:00. The sauna area is accessible exclusively to adults and is open from 14:00 to 20:00.

How far in advance do I need to book a massage / treatment?

We recommend that you book your treatment at least 2 to 3 days before you arrive in order to have the best chance of availability.

What are the times of the Relax Pool?

The Relax Pool is for the exclusive use of adults (from 16 years old). It is open every day from 08.00-21.00.

Is there a tennis court for a fee? The equipment?

The prices to use the court are:
- 15 Euro/hour for hotel guests
- 40 Euro/hour for external guests
The equipment is included.

Do you organize tennis lessons?

Yes! You can book a tennis lesson with an experienced instructor. We kindly ask you to book at least 48 hours in advance.

Where can I leave the bike?

We provide a space in which our guests are able to leave their bikes. Let us know and we will be happy to show you the place.

How does the Jet Ski work?

Our team at the reception will be happy to give you all the information about costs and conditions. Please note that it is not possible to ride the jet ski individually: an expert pilot will accompany you to the discovery of Lake Lugano in order to ride in complete safety!

Is the tennis court always available?

The opening is seasonal and may vary according to weather conditions.

When are the Kids’ Clubs open? 

From April to October, a daily programme of activities is offered with a team speaking Italian and English. During the other months no supervised programs are available but it is always possible for children to play in the children’s areas whilst supervised by their parents.

From what age can children participate at the clubs?

The resort offers 3 age-oriented Kids’ Clubs: Mini Club (from 2 to 5 years), the Club Bim Bam Bino (from 6 to 11 years) and the Teen Space (from 12 to 15 years).

How far is it from Porlezza?

It is about 2 km from Porlezza, 3 minutes by car and about 25 minutes on foot.

Is there an ATM?

Yes! You can find it in the garage, at the elevator entrance.

Are there supermarkets nearby?

Yes! In Porlezza (5 minutes by car) there is a small supermarket while there are two bigger supermarket 5 km away in the direction of direction Menaggio (10 minutes by car).

Is a Baby Sitting service available?

Of course! We will be happy to organize on request a baby sitting service for children under 2 years old (Euro 35,00 per hour, after midnight Euro 45,00 per hour). If you need it, we also offer this service for older children.
Please book this service at least 24 hours in advance.

Is it possible to book half board?

Of course! By booking half board, you can enjoy a delicious four-course dinner every day at La Veranda & San Marco Restaurant. Half board is served from 18:30.

Half board has the following costs:
- Children from 0 to 1 year free
- Children from 2 to 3 years Euro 10,00 per child/day
- Children from 4 to 10 years Euro 20,00 per child/day
- Children from 11 to 15 years Euro 25,00 per child/day
- From 16 years old Euro 48,00 per person/day

How do cooking classes work?

It is a unique experience for your holiday at Parco San Marco.
Our Executive Chef will follow you step by step.
You will choose the type of cuisine and the recipes to prepare.
The lessons must be booked in advance and our chef is at your disposal for special and personalized requests.

Is there the possibility of having a hairdresser?

No, but there are several hairdressers in Porlezza. For further information please contact the reception.

Is a laundry service available?

Yes, a laundry service is available. Laundry will be returned washed and ironed within 24/48 hours.

Is there an iron in the room?

No. But there is an iron in the Ironing room.
